After 6 years I am saying goodbye to my Qnap TS109. Last month I decided to go for a Synology appliance and today I am completing my data migration.
For years my TS109 run without any hardware issues and I didn’t want to wait until my 500GB Samsung drive was going to fail.
It served it’s purpose as my home media gateway and soon I am making my brother happy with it.
Last firmware update was loaded in 2011 (first release of version 3 in 2009) and since that time I had my issues with Sabnzbd. Recently I used Nzbgetweb and it helped me in the last two years to keep this NAS.
It’s still working and I am performing a SYSTEM RESET now.
Caution: When you press [RESET] on this page, all drive data, user accounts, network shares and system settings are cleared and restored to default. Please make sure you have backed up all the important data and system settings before resetting the NAS.
Yes I am. Click OK
No way back.. My drive was now formatted and all settings were changed to factory. I could logon with admin/admin and disable some of the services.
