Windows Server 2003: Access-based Enumeration for file servers

windows server 2003If you manage a Windows Server 2003 file server, I recommend installing this add-on.

Windows Server 2003 Access-based Enumeration makes visible only those files or folders that the user has the rights to access. When Access-based Enumeration is enabled, Windows will not display files or folders that the user does not have the rights to access. This download provides a GUI and a CLI that enables this feature.

This was the first time I had installed and used the tool myself. It was easy to install and did not require a file-server reboot. It simplifies the user’s view, and we have fewer "security audits" in Event Viewer.

I love your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you design this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? Plz respond as I'm looking to construct my own blog and would like to know where u got this from. thank you

      Hi Matilda,
Thank you. I like the new design too which I implemented last summer.

I purchased a framework theme and designed some important parts myself.
