I have a VMWare Workstation 6. I created a team with two Window Server 2008 R2. I have tried all settings LAN, Host etc… to connect these two machines together.
Basically, I am trying to install a database server SQL Server 2008 on one machine and then connect to that database from the other machine.
I believe this is possible. I need step by step instructions or a guide.

Firstly in order to create team in vmware workstation between two machine we have to put those two machines in the same LAN segment. The network adapter settings will be LAN1, not bridged or NAT or anything else otherwise they will not communicate with each-other. This is the main criteria for creating team in vmware workstation.
