When I started my personal blog I could never imagine it would reach 1.000.000 visitors. Last week it did. Over the years my Networknet.nl blog become popular, and on many searches my blog is displayed as first hit on the list.

This helped me to generate the traffic and visits. I am happy to see many of you leave comments, more people keep coming to my blog and links are made to my posts.

Over the last two years I realize I am not posting as much as want, I prefer quality over quantity. In the last 12 months there have been significant changes in the layout, banner and re-styling of posts. I have implemented new theme. Another big thing was reading all the posts (most of them), fixing grammar, reviewing technical content and implementing new style elements. Got rid of most of the advertisement banners and placed only one in the sub areas of the site.

I am working hard to find a balance between personal, family and work life. Having a good system in place to keep track on ideas, activities, projects and objectives becomes key. I am reading a book named “Take Back Your Life! from Microsoft Press” to help me manage all of that. One important activity is to reserve a time slot to look back what happened in the last week and write it down for sharing with you!

I have fun in writing things on my blog even for me as my reference system. There are times I look back myself to see how I did certain things and help me remember the steps I documented and run before.
