Thank you for the instructions on setting up ESX 3.02 under Workstation 6.0. ESX 3.5 has just come out. I have tried to set that up. I can install 3.5 and get it running. But when I create a guest under it, it bombs out.
Any special instructions on getting 3.5 working would be greatly appreciated.

Yep that is something I have seen and read on other VMWare usergroup forums. It seems that current version of VMWare Workstation 6 and new ESX 3.5 are not compatible without additional updates. It has something to do with the CPU masking, etc, the installation will work as I setup the video for 3.02 but as you noticed the guest will die upon start process.
I have not get time myself to test and figure out the right configuration / update on WS from Vmware.

Great Tutorial very well done, great screen shots.
I tried checking some YouTube tutorial on the same topic but the videos had a bad resolution it was hard to see what the guy was doing.

I am getting blue dump after installing ESX 3.5 on VMWare 6.0. It gives me the blue dump in the first reboot itself though it takes a lot of time nealy 2 hrs to boot & throws blue dump.
If anyone can help me i did appreciate.
