Hi there! Welcome to my blog. My name is Ivan. I am a Dutch IT Professional working as Principal IT Consultant. When deploying a Lync 2013 server I run into following issue when requesting certificates for “Request, Install or Assign certificates” deployment step.
Request-CSCertificate
Action – failed
Certificate use: Default,WebServicesInternal,WebServicesExternal
Certificate request submitted to certification authority (CA) “DC-01.Networknet.nl\Root CA”.
Error: Denied by Policy Module 0x80072746, Active Directory Certificate Services could not find required Active Directory information.
Error: An error occurred: “Microsoft.Rtc.Management.Common.Certificates.CertificateException” “Denied by Policy Module 0x80072746, Active Directory Certificate Services could not find required Active Directory information.”
To solution to this problem is to locate the Active Directory Certificate Authority:
- Logon with remote desktop or use Services console, and connect to the remote server
- Locate “Active Directory Certificate Services” and restart the service
After the “Active Directory Certificate Services” were restarted repeat the steps to request the certificates for Lync Server 2013 deployment.
